Hebridean Way North Uist Collaborations
Yesterday I attended a marketing meeting in Claddach Kirkibost Community Centre in North Uist. It is about developing the Outer Hebrides into a world class destination.
I represented HebShuttle which is based in Benbecula, south of North Uist. I met up with some very inspiring young entrepreneurs, Jonathan Ingledew from North Uist Distillery and Malcolm Gibson from Berneray Bikes.
Jonny and I are keen to collaborate with them to create this world class experience that this part of the Outer Hebrides has got to offer.
Every part of the Outer Hebrides offers experiences that in itself are already more than enough to make the trip. Can you just imagine if you connect even a few of them up in a cycle road trip?
Jonny will be setting up a meeting in Barra to meet up with more businesses so we can add on more services to our Hebridean Way cycle experience. For people not from here, this will take up to travel 10 island, connected by 6 causeways and 2 ferry crossings going south and then back up north again. Driving through and engaging with the most stunning locations Scotland has got to offer and meeting up with people along the way. Can not be done in one day. All part and parcel of the Hebridean life.
It is a world class destination and you should come and meet us so we can tell you all about it.
That’s me off to Berneray now to meet the ferry to Leverburgh. Got a meeting with Jonny this afternoon to tell him all about my trip.
