Jonny and I are in the process of designing a 3 day cycle trip over the Outer Hebrides for cyclist looking for 60 miles a day challenge.
We grade it Difficult (Grade 3) to Hard (Grade 4): it won’t break your legs and you are a regular, experienced cyclist, about 600 ft of climbing.
It is a personal challenge ride allowing you to test your legs without the hassle of having to plan a route yourself.
We will do all this for you.
It is a great opporunity to take your cycle to the next level.
It will follow route 780, The Hebridean Way, which will go through Balivanich, North West of North Uist and we want to include the Golden Road in Harris.
A real challenge for those who want to step up a gear taking on the North Atlantic winds, the ever winding roads, dodging the odd sheep and climbing the hills in Harris and South Lewis.
We will organise the travel arrangements (including two ferry crossings) and accommodation in the Outer Hebrides as well as some high protein food to keep you going. We will have a support vehicle with guide/mechanic and bike trailer following you along the way.
We understand you will be here to ride and not so much to stop at our many amazing view points along the route. You can do that at another time when you come back with friend or family doing the recreational trip of 6 days.
If you are a member of a cycle club or just a group of people who enjoy some serious cycling this is a trip in a unique location that should feauture on your list.
Already a team together? Contact us and we can do something bespoke for you.
Jonny and I will keep you updated on our progress but please send us you comments if you want to know more about this 3 day-SPORTIVE.
